Abacus - Australian Mutuals organises a number of events throughout the year to highlight the role credit unions, mutual building societies and friendly societies play in the retail financial services sector and the community.
The keynote event is the annual Abacus Convention, which combines education, focusing on hot topics facing the industry, with exploration of new business opportunities for our members.

Abacus also organises parliamentary and community events, working with our members to promote the interests and awareness of the mutual financial services and friendly society sectors. These range from the promotion of International Credit Union Day (in October each year) to regular industry events at Federal Parliament House.
Abacus also promotes a range of industry forums and sessions throughout the year.
